We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone. Manithaneya kaapakam a home for school children is in Veerapandi, Theni district.The students here are provided with quality education and also are well trained in all other extra curricular activites likekarate,gymnastic,dance,yoga etc.ARTHAM donated 20 geometry box ,20 notebooks and 20 pens for those students who were in need of those items by K.Yogesh on 7-12-2k12 at a sum of Rs 1500.

Government school in S.S colony of Madurai holds a number of deprived children in the breadline. With the aspiring aid from Mrs.Mala Ramakrishnan, a philanthropist, provided new clothes and uniforms to the children for Diwali. It was also our ARTHAM privilege to give 40 notebooks, pencils and rubbers worth Rs.610 for the children in need. Vinoth Pandian.S and Kumaresh Annamalai. BS spent their valuable time with the children to distribute the things on 10th November 2012.

Abul Hassan from Tirunelveli district got admission in PSN college of Engineering & Technology, Tirunelveli through counseling.A Demand draft of Rs 6000/- has been taken in name of Nawab, Abul Hassan’s dad and given to him for his admission by our Artham member R.Siva Kumaran on 28-10-2k12.

S.Thangamayil, a bonafide student of AMHNU.Matric Higher Secondary School, Aundipatti, who has been adopted by Artham for her education first term school fees of Rs.3850 has been paid by K.Yogesh,a member of ARTHAM charitable foundation on 23/10/2012.

Mr.Kapil Dev, Final year, CSE, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, met with a bike accident on 14.09.2012 near Thirumangalam. He was admitted in Vadamalayan Hospital, Madurai. We, the ARTHAM collected an amount of Rs.4000, for his medical treatment and other needs. Mr. G. Vignesh, a member of ARTHAM charitable foundation, handed over the amount to Mr. K. Kamaraj, Final year, EEE , Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, friend of Mr.Kapil Dev for his medication on 18.09.2012.

Mr. Ashok Kumar (26 years), working in a private concern in Pudhukottai, who had met with road traffic accident on 4-5-2k12, suffered from Polytraumatic condition. Immediate surgery was required to release pressure in brain and also for the fractures and serious external wounds sustained in the accident. Initially, he had undergone treatment in Government Hospital, Pudukottai and then was admitted in a hospital in Trichy for further treatment. Now he is admitted in Apollo Hospital, Trichy, to carry out an operation. The overall amount required for his operation was around 7-10 lakhs and required 3-4 months of hospitalization. A small contribution of Rs.3000/- has been given to R.Bhavani, neighbour of Mr. Ashok Kumar by Mr.S.Siva Balan representing the whole ARTHAM team on 12-9-2k12. His operation got over successfully and he is getting recovered. They were grateful for our timely contribution and wished us for reaching greater heights in the nearby future.

The basic necessities of a human are food, shelter and clothing. This time ARTHAM made the last one possible for the children of BHARATHA ANNAI ILLAM, PANNIMADAI, COIMBATORE-17 which has 58 children residing there. They were with materials but it needs some make over i.e., it needs to be stitched and that was made by ARTHAM members. The amount needed for stitching 58 sets of uniform for all children was Rs.8000 and uniforms was given to person incharge of that orphanage home by ARTHAM members - Mr. Praveen, Mr.Senthil, Mr. Tharun, Mr. Vetrivel , Mr. Krishna, Mr. Krishnamoorthy , Mr. Anandh and Mr. Yogesh on 09/09/2k12.

Contribution for education of Ms.Chitra

Ms.Chitra, who got the seat to do MBA in IIMS, Delhi didn’t get the money to pay the fees in time because of the delay in sanctioning of the bank loan. And she was in need of 3.9 (tuition)+1.4(hostel) lakhs for two years. ARTHAM made a contribution of Rs.5000/- and it was credited to her account by artham member, Mr.Balasubramaniam on 30-07-2k12. This is a contribution which is given not for IIMS but for education especially girls education.

For Shine foundation

SHINE foundation,Madurai a special school for mentally challenged (Special kids and adults) people, started in 2003 with three children initially. At present, there are around 75 students, 10 trained staffs and 4 physiotherapists. A group of young minds from ARTHAM comprising of Siva Balan, Prabhu, Dinesh, Sundararajan, Arumugam, Vinoth Pandian, Vignesh, Manikandan, Anu renuga, Swetha and Varshini visited the foundation on 18th july 2k12 and engaged students with different activities. Various events were conducted. The day started with the students’ introduction. Few volunteers from ARTHAM, made them to participate in various activities such as crayon colouring, picture puzzle, sticker collage, and snow bowling etc. The turnout of the event was too good. Students took part in the event with more joy and enthusiasm. The shine event planned and executed with extreme care as 1st event of ARTHAM, was a great success. And finally a sum of Rs. 3000/- was donated.

Mr.A.Ramar, who runs his family on daily wages made the dreams of his daughter Ms.Kanaga possible by making her do B.E-IT in Kamaraj college of engineering and technology, Virudhunagar. He was suddenly bed ridden owing to the final stage of ULCER along with block in duodenum, and was suggested to undergo an immediate surgery at Venkateswari Endoscopy Centre, Madurai. Mr.Sangeeth Sharma of ARTHAM gave the collected amount of Rs.6600 in hospital to the concerned person on 29th april 2k12.

For Emmanuel Trust

Emmanuel trust,Madurai a place which is considered to be a home sweet home that cares, protects and showers love for the mentally disabled people. The home comprises of 85 members who were in need of basic home utilities. This time ARTHAM made contributions in the form of things that include fans and tube lights worth Rs.4900/- and was distributed by our fellow members Mr.S.Siva Balan and Mr.Kumaresh Annamalai on 8th april 2k12.

For bone marrow transplantation

Thalassimia an uncommon word for a common man. A genetic disease which causes anaemia,heart disorder,bone deformities and risk of infection. This is what happened to Komatla Jashwant Reddyson of Madhusudan Reddy a comman man from onglole (AP) who is not in a position to afford such a huge sum of money owing to his poor financial status and this disease was accounted to be incurable,but recent researches proved BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION (BMT) as a successful treatment for this disease. and this operation costs around 12LAKHS , CHRISTIAN MEDICAL COLLEGE (Vellore) has agreed to contribute 6LAKHS of the total sum and some social bodies have managed to arrange 3LAKHS more. This time ARTHAM made a contribution of Rs.15300/. the money was given to his dad by fellow artham member, Mr.R.Sri Hari Narayanan at CMC on 2-03-2k12 on behalf of us.

Mr.Srinivasan, 1st Bio-tech MEPCO Schlenk Engineering college, Sivakasi a person who started his next phase of life with loads of dreams got his hurdle in the form of Severe lung disorder treated by Global hospital, Chennai which costs around 15 lakhs to overcome the disease. ARTHAM helped him with a sum of Rs.13000/-, this time Mr.S.Siva Balan, member of artham credited the amount to his TMB account on 2-03-2k12 representing all other hearts.
