Contribution to Kerala flood relief fund

Once again we as Artham members are very proud in supporting KERALA people in their recovery mission. With Generous contribution from Mr.Kathiravan and ₹14,700 from our foundation we purchased the following materials ,

  • Rice
  • Toor dhall
  • Biscuits
  • Sanitary Napkins
  • Baby Diapers
  • Dettol
  • Soap powder
  • Tooth Paste
  • Mosquito coils

We appreciate Mr. Sathish and Suraj Velshankar from YI Madurai who took responsibility in collecting and transporting the materials with immense care to reach the needy safely on time. 

We also all the good hearts who supported to make this process happen on time.

ARTHAM TRUST have been in forefront in helping people at the most crucial times.

Likewise when poor patient Master mayakannan was diagnosed as CONGENITAL GROWTH HORMONE DEFICIENCY, he was immediately started on synthectin human growth hormone.

Since his insurance formalities were in process ,he was in urgent need of money to continue his treatment,

and they contacted our Artham and directed to produce the treatment records to the trust members and within days, our artham members have helped the boy at most needed time.

Dr. Poornaj thank all the members of trust for helping this child to get his treatment continued.

Sathish V, whom we helped for paying his college fees called for another help. Sindhuja T who is gonna join in Sriram college of Arts and Science is the person needed help from us. Sathish shared the details which her mom gave.

என் பெயர் T.லதா க/பெ தமிழரசன் என் கணவர் இறந்து விட்டதால் வீட்டு வேலை செய்து எனது மகன், மகன்களை காப்பாற்றி வருகிறேன். எனக்கு 3 பெண், ஒரு ஆண் மகன் உள்ளனர். எனது மகள் T.சிந்துஜா பன்னிரெண்டாம் வகுப்பில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்று 891 மதிப்பெண் பெற்றதால் அவளை கல்லூரியில் சேர்க்க போதிய வசதி இல்லாத காரணத்தால், கல்வி ஊக்கத்தொகை கேட்டு வழங்குமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம். கல்லூரி கட்டணம் ரூ 15,000 /- 6 மாதத்திற்கு ஒரு முறை 7,500/- கட்ட வேண்டும். தங்களால் முடிந்த ஊக்கத்தொகையை வழங்குமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம். இத்துடன் எனது மகளின் 12th மதிப்பெண் சான்றிதழ், சாதி சான்றிதழ், மாற்றுச்சான்றிதழ், கல்லூரி கட்டண விவரம், ரேஷன் அட்டை, எனது வங்கி கணக்கு அட்டை நகல் இவை அனைத்தையும் இணைத்துள்ளேன்

We have paid first year per semester fees of Rs. 7500 for Sindhuja T on 23rd July and she has started to go college from 24th July. Her mother was too much grateful to our Artham. We thank Raga Divya and Sathish V for handing over the cheque to them..

Our Artham Member Raga Divya’s Mom asked help for Karthick to pay his school fees . He has a younger brother and sister. His father always drinks and takes the hard earned money from his mother. His mother sells flower in front of Thirumallai nayakar mahal, Madurai.

He is studying 12th in St.Mary’s higher secondary school.They need do pay ₹.3000 for this year which they didn’t pay for past few months and we have paid his fees on 06 Jan 2016

Our Artham Member Arun Kumar.A , student named PRIYA DHARSHINI P doing final year B.E EEE in M. KUMARASAMY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, KARUR was struggling to pay her Examination fee. Unfortunately she is not having mother and father and now was in a situation to pay tuition fee of Rs 40,000. Through her friends she collected Rs 34,000 and owing to the shortage of Rs 6,000 she was unable to write the semester examination.

   We helped her at right time to pay balance amount on 22nd March 2015. The entire class members have come and asked about our ARTHAM TRUST and personally everyone has conveyed their hearty thanks to our trust. Arun Kumar would like to thank all our Artham Volunteers on behalf of his student and was sure that we enlightened another student’s life.

” There is no right time and right place for love, it can happen any time ”.Ananthalakshmi R a girl from poor family background in Chennai has scored 1153/1200 in 12th & she got seat in Madras Christian college (B.Com) where her entire educational expense comes around 30,000 for 3 years.Totally there are 5 members in family (1 Elder sister,herself,1 younger sister, Her mother & Father). Their mother & father both doing cooking profession.19k they brought from others for interest and their parents are struggling to pay the interest also now due to less cooking orders.The entire family was sitting simply without food for past 3 days when Sri Logeshwaran reach their house.Logeshwaran representing Artham has given her a sum 0f 7000 Rs on September 11 2k14 for her interest to pay back.

Donation to Balar Illam

Our Artham members  Sowndharya. K and Dhana lakhmi went to Balar Illam, Madurai on 9th September 2k13. They spent few hours with the girl students in the asharam and conducted competitions in Dance, Singing, Drawing and Collage work. Winners were awarded with chocolates  and stationary items were distributed to all students. A sum of Rs.1000 was spent for the items purchased and students were really happy of their visit after a long time.

“Every Charitable act is a stepping stone toward heaven ”. Our timely help, helped Mr. SATHISH. V doing 2nd year EEE in Vel Tech Engineering College Avadi, Chennai. He was restricted to college and was lagging attendance for many days as he was unable to pay his college fees. We ARTHAM provided him Rs. 5000 on the very next day (26th July 2k13) when we came to know the news through Raga Divya understanding his urgency. He paid his total college fees and was resumed back to college on 27th July. He was so much thankful to our ARTHAM and assured to study well to bring up his family.

“Give a girl an education and introduce her properly into the world, and ten to one but she has the means of settling well, without further expense to anybody. ”,P.JENIFER ( 2nd year of BBM at R.B.Gothi Jain College for woman, Chennai ), the eldest daughter of a family of five, had broken her education obstacle ( her 3rd semester fees of Rs.8250) along with the hands of Artham. The fees was been paid by SRI HARI NARAYAN on 24th June 2013 representing Artham. This help, enlightened her to continue her studies even more confidently.

“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.” And one such life was given to Ms.S.Thangamayil, a ninth grader of AMHNU.Matric Higher Secondary School, Aundipatti ( adopted by ARTHAM for her studies ) who strives hard to give her best always. Mr. Yogesh Dastan guided her with the beacon, a young and willing person of ARTHAM who paid Rs.15,140 (Rs.4,550+Rs.10,590) which includes 1st term School fees of Rs.4,550 and Books, Note books and Smart class fees of Rs.10,590 (Rs.1,440+Rs.9,150) for 3 terms on 20/06/2013.

Retinal vision does not capture much than the brain does, and here is one such version of brain vision, Mr.Natraj, Son of Mr. Pattabi from Chennai. He is a visually challenged person, who is pursuing his B.Ed in Indira Gandhi College of education. He is a well capable person, and is in need of money for paying his college fees. His total fee is Rs.50000, and he has got a concession of Rs.3000. He made arrangements for Rs. 7000 and is in need of remaining Rs.40000 for paying his fees. ARTHAM collected and contributed an amount of Rs. 10000 for his education. Ms. Nithya Priyadharshini, handed over the amount to Mr. Natraj on 08th April 2013, which would help him for his upcoming exams.

Mr.HUSSAIN ARIF 13 years old S/O Late.Mr. ABDUL SIDDIQUE ALI P.M.S, who has been suffering from “NEPHROTIC SYNDROME” (disfunctioning of kidneys) since 2002. He is undergoing dialysis thrice a week. Now it has become necessary to transplant his kidneys to save his precious life. Transplantation of kidney costs above 15 lakhs. As he is from a poor family doctors suggested to transform his mother’s kidney which reduces the actual cost to6 lakhs approximately.  Miss.S.Thaslima handed Rs.4000 for his treatment given by ARTHAM on 12th January 2013.

Mr.Kumaresan, (22 years) was on his way for an interview on 29th December 2k12 met with anaccident which left him with two blood clots in the brain and a fractured skull. He was admitted in KG Hospitals, Race Course road, Coimbatore. Mr.R.S.Gowtham friend of him handed Rs.4000 for his treatment given by ARTHAM on 2nd January 2k13. There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.

Manithaneya kaapakam a home for school children is in Veerapandi, Theni district.The students here are provided with quality education and also are well trained in all other extra curricular activites likekarate,gymnastic,dance,yoga etc.ARTHAM donated 20 geometry box ,20 notebooks and 20 pens for those students who were in need of those items by K.Yogesh on 7-12-2k12 at a sum of Rs 1500.

Government school in S.S colony of Madurai holds a number of deprived children in the breadline. With the aspiring aid from Mrs.Mala Ramakrishnan, a philanthropist, provided new clothes and uniforms to the children for Diwali. It was also our ARTHAM privilege to give 40 notebooks, pencils and rubbers worth Rs.610 for the children in need. Vinoth Pandian.S and Kumaresh Annamalai. BS spent their valuable time with the children to distribute the things on 10th November 2012.

Mr.Kapil Dev, Final year, CSE, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, met with a bike accident on 14.09.2012 near Thirumangalam. He was admitted in Vadamalayan Hospital, Madurai. We, the ARTHAM collected an amount of Rs.4000, for his medical treatment and other needs. Mr. G. Vignesh, a member of ARTHAM charitable foundation, handed over the amount to Mr. K. Kamaraj, Final year, EEE , Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, friend of Mr.Kapil Dev for his medication on 18.09.2012.

Mr. Ashok Kumar (26 years), working in a private concern in Pudhukottai, who had met with road traffic accident on 4-5-2k12, suffered from Polytraumatic condition. Immediate surgery was required to release pressure in brain and also for the fractures and serious external wounds sustained in the accident. Initially, he had undergone treatment in Government Hospital, Pudukottai and then was admitted in a hospital in Trichy for further treatment. Now he is admitted in Apollo Hospital, Trichy, to carry out an operation. The overall amount required for his operation was around 7-10 lakhs and required 3-4 months of hospitalization. A small contribution of Rs.3000/- has been given to R.Bhavani, neighbour of Mr. Ashok Kumar by Mr.S.Siva Balan representing the whole ARTHAM team on 12-9-2k12. His operation got over successfully and he is getting recovered. They were grateful for our timely contribution and wished us for reaching greater heights in the nearby future.

The basic necessities of a human are food, shelter and clothing. This time ARTHAM made the last one possible for the children of BHARATHA ANNAI ILLAM, PANNIMADAI, COIMBATORE-17 which has 58 children residing there. They were with materials but it needs some make over i.e., it needs to be stitched and that was made by ARTHAM members. The amount needed for stitching 58 sets of uniform for all children was Rs.8000 and uniforms was given to person incharge of that orphanage home by ARTHAM members - Mr. Praveen, Mr.Senthil, Mr. Tharun, Mr. Vetrivel , Mr. Krishna, Mr. Krishnamoorthy , Mr. Anandh and Mr. Yogesh on 09/09/2k12.

Ms.Chitra, who got the seat to do MBA in IIMS, Delhi didn’t get the money to pay the fees in time because of the delay in sanctioning of the bank loan. And she was in need of 3.9 (tuition)+1.4(hostel) lakhs for two years. ARTHAM made a contribution of Rs.5000/- and it was credited to her account by artham member, Mr.Balasubramaniam on 30-07-2k12. This is a contribution which is given not for IIMS but for education especially girls education.

For Shine foundation

SHINE foundation,Madurai a special school for mentally challenged (Special kids and adults) people, started in 2003 with three children initially. At present, there are around 75 students, 10 trained staffs and 4 physiotherapists. A group of young minds from ARTHAM comprising of Siva Balan, Prabhu, Dinesh, Sundararajan, Arumugam, Vinoth Pandian, Vignesh, Manikandan, Anu renuga, Swetha and Varshini visited the foundation on 18th july 2k12 and engaged students with different activities. Various events were conducted. The day started with the students’ introduction. Few volunteers from ARTHAM, made them to participate in various activities such as crayon colouring, picture puzzle, sticker collage, and snow bowling etc. The turnout of the event was too good. Students took part in the event with more joy and enthusiasm. The shine event planned and executed with extreme care as 1st event of ARTHAM, was a great success. And finally a sum of Rs. 3000/- was donated.

Mr.A.Ramar, who runs his family on daily wages made the dreams of his daughter Ms.Kanaga possible by making her do B.E-IT in Kamaraj college of engineering and technology, Virudhunagar. He was suddenly bed ridden owing to the final stage of ULCER along with block in duodenum, and was suggested to undergo an immediate surgery at Venkateswari Endoscopy Centre, Madurai. Mr.Sangeeth Sharma of ARTHAM gave the collected amount of Rs.6600 in hospital to the concerned person on 29th april 2k12.

Emmanuel trust,Madurai a place which is considered to be a home sweet home that cares, protects and showers love for the mentally disabled people. The home comprises of 85 members who were in need of basic home utilities. This time ARTHAM made contributions in the form of things that include fans and tube lights worth Rs.4900/- and was distributed by our fellow members Mr.S.Siva Balan and Mr.Kumaresh Annamalai on 8th april 2k12.

Thalassimia an uncommon word for a common man. A genetic disease which causes anaemia,heart disorder,bone deformities and risk of infection. This is what happened to Komatla Jashwant Reddyson of Madhusudan Reddy a comman man from onglole (AP) who is not in a position to afford such a huge sum of money owing to his poor financial status and this disease was accounted to be incurable,but recent researches proved BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION (BMT) as a successful treatment for this disease. and this operation costs around 12LAKHS , CHRISTIAN MEDICAL COLLEGE (Vellore) has agreed to contribute 6LAKHS of the total sum and some social bodies have managed to arrange 3LAKHS more. This time ARTHAM made a contribution of Rs.15300/. the money was given to his dad by fellow artham member, Mr.R.Sri Hari Narayanan at CMC on 2-03-2k12 on behalf of us.

Mr.Srinivasan, 1st Bio-tech MEPCO Schlenk Engineering college, Sivakasi a person who started his next phase of life with loads of dreams got his hurdle in the form of Severe lung disorder treated by Global hospital, Chennai which costs around 15 lakhs to overcome the disease. ARTHAM helped him with a sum of Rs.13000/-, this time Mr.S.Siva Balan, member of artham credited the amount to his TMB account on 2-03-2k12 representing all other hearts.
